Despite the fact TCU and Boise State made it to the Fiesta Bowl, the BCS still needs to be done away with and replaced by a true playoff!
That said, the Fiesta and Sugar Bowls should be two amazing games!

The BCS was created to give us the next best thing to a playoff… number 1 versus number 2. But some years there is no clear cut numbers 1 & 2. This year is shaping up to be one of those years. Just like there is no clear front runner for the Heisman Trophy this year, no two teams have clearly distinguished themselves as being deserving of the title game above all others.

Well, it’s that time of year… the time of year when several teams with identical records start to bunch near the top of the BCS poll, leaving us all to wonder which two are by far the best, and thus, deserving of playing for the National Championship. So this is my plea for a playoff in Division One Football.

It’s a light week in college football with only one game between ranked opponents. Thankfully it’s a good one, as # 8 TCU visits #16 BYU in Provo, UT. Also, Bradford is out again and the first BCS poll of the season has Boise State at #4.
